Sinead has worked as a freelance journalist and broadcaster for 12 years, mainly working with the Irish Independent group as Consumer and Personal Finance columnist, after a swift realisation that TV and restaurant reviewing is harder than it looks. Prior to that, she was in financial services for 15 years (brokerage and insurer).

In 2009, she set up a not-for-profit organisation teaching teenagers about budgeting and personal finance and is widely in demand on radio and television as a consumer and personal finance commentator and would be considered an expert in the area. Her book, “Cents & Sensibility” was published in 2010.  Sinead is the Consumer contributor on RTE’s “Today with Sean O’Rourke” and contributes regularly ‘Late Debate’, ‘The Last Word with Matt Cooper’ and ‘Drivetime’ on radio and ‘Primetime’, ‘Ireland AM’ and ‘Tonight with Vincent Browne’ on television.

Sinead is an experienced MC for conferences and a public speaking trainer who identifies participant’s core issues quickly and helps them get to the nub of their subject swiftly. She has trained hundreds of individuals over the years, preparing them for public speaking engagements and important sales pitches and marketing events.

Because she doesn’t get nearly enough time in the limelight, she is active in Amateur Dramatics, including roles of The Prostitute in John B. Keane’s “The Chastitute”, The Baroness in “The Sound of Music” and lately, the Villain in Panto. Some of these roles require no acting at all.
